How many architect hours does one change consume?

If you run cloud infrastructure or virtual desktops, you know the loop: sign in, test, reset, repeat. A small app change can take days. Miss one bug, and a clinician may be unable to chart at 7 a.m.

Legacy desktop changes: plan, change, sign in (human hours), test (human hours), reset (human hours), repeat for every change, measured in days.

I spent years inside that loop. Then I built Desk-Ops: skills, a knowledge base, and a Claude plugin that lets a coding agent run and test desktop changes from the user’s point of view.

Desk-Ops automation: set the goal, Claude runs (agent work), evaluate (agent work), reset, learn and improve, measured in hours.

The work can now move through a self-learning cycle measured in hours, not days.
